The Swiss Red Cross (SRC) is the largest humanitarian organization in Switzerland. We provide a broad range of services for the benefit of particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Switzerland and in about 30 countries around the world.
Since 2016, SRC has been partnering with the Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS) and since 2024 with the Georgian Red Cross Society (GRCS) within a regional approach. To strengthen this collaboration and implement the SRC strategy for the South Caucasus Region, we are seeking an experienced Country Representative/Regional Representative starting on 1 December 2026.
What you will be doing
- Represent SRC at country and regional level, maintain strong relations with ARCS and GRCS
- Monitor contextual developments and provide strategic insights to SRC Headquarter
- Coordinate with Movement partners, authorities and other stakeholders
- Oversee SRC supported programmes in Armenia and Georgia; ensure quality, accountability and compliance
- Support ARCS and GRCS in enhancing organizational development and financial self-reliance
- Support stakeholder coordination, policy engagement, and advocacy efforts
- In emergencies, support coordination, response planning, and programme continuity
- Manage staff and ensure professional financial administration and reporting
Your profile
- A university degree or equivalent education and at least 8 years of professional experience in international cooperation within humanitarian and development contexts
- Proven expertise in strategic partnership management and overseeing a programme, ideally within the RC/RC Movement
- Experience in leading and managing a team in a complex environment
- Demonstrated skills of project cycle management, proposal development, budgeting, financial management and adherence to donor compliance requirements
- Technical skills in National Society Development and capacity-building
- Experience in disaster management and emergency response
- Diplomatic communication skills, cultural sensitivity, resilience and autonomy
- High level of autonomy, resilience, and adaptability in challenging environments
- Excellent English skills; Armenian, Georgian or Russian are an asset
