What you will be doing
- Programme development within the framework of SRC’s country strategy Ukraine and support to SRC delegation in implementation of projects
- Strategic planning in the programmatic areas of relief, recovery and rehabilitation and capacity building (with focus on service delivery)
- Engagement with URCS at the national level, specifically in the programmatic areas of home-based care (HBC) and resource mobilization, but also in other thematic areas, connecting with technical units relevant to programming supported by SRC
- Ensure effective coordination and alignment of relief/recovery/rehabilitation and capacity building initiatives within the URCS One Plan and in line with SRC’s International cooperation programme
- Provide advice to delegation, especially to the Heads of Sub-delegation, on monitoring implementation and budget, and regarding necessary revisions of operational plans, log frames and budgets excl. direct budgetary authority for programme components
- Supervise and mentor programme staff, providing regular feedback, performance evaluations, and capacity building opportunities as needed. Line management of the technical and embedded delegates of the SRC delegation
- Coordinate links with SRC HQ thematic focal points and facilitate knowledge exchange between HQ and delegation
- Represent SRC in meetings, forums, and coordination mechanisms related to programme activities, as required
Your profile
- University degree in management, international cooperation, social sciences or other relevant discipline with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in the coordination and management of programmes and partnerships in fragile contexts in humanitarian response or international cooperation
- Experience in managing or working in health projects or programmes
- Analytical and strategic thinking, facilitation and participatory management skills
- Diplomacy, sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to adapt to a fast-changing work environment
- Experience with localization of aid approaches and capacity strengthening of national/local partners
- Proficient written and spoken English; a good command of Ukrainian or Russian language is an asset
- Demonstrated experience with working in the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement
