Collecting and processing your personal information

Personal information collected for the purposes of the recruitment process is only saved if you have provided it as part of your application.

On providing us with your data, you expressly declare that you agree to the fact that the Swiss Red Cross uses it for the recruitment process. You confirm that the personal data and information entered by you are correct and that all statements made are true. You understand that untruthful statements may result in your not being recruited or in the termination of any employment contract.

Your application can be taken into consideration for all vacancies at SRC Headquarters. Your personal data will only be processed by the SRC Headquarters staff involved in the recruitment process. We will add the data you provide and any data created during the application process, insofar as the latter are stored, to your application file.

Certain steps in the application process, such as assessments or aptitude tests, are carried out by contracted third parties. Your data is encrypted before being passed on to these service providers. Your data will only be transferred after you have been informed and have agreed to it. The data generated in the course of process steps such as assessments or aptitude tests are encrypted before being transmitted and stored.

Your application will be deleted 12 months after receipt, unless you have been recruited or have applied for something else. If you withdraw your application, your data will be deleted upon request. If you are hired, your application will be moved to your personnel file. We reserve the right to use your basic details in anonymized form for internal company statistics.

Your online application

Once you have completed and successfully submitted your application, it is transmitted on the basis of the TLS procedure directly to the server of our external provider over an encrypted connection.

You have the right to obtain information about what personal data has been stored and to withdraw your application at any time. You can also request the correction, blocking, return or deletion of your data. However, we must also comply with mandatory legal provisions, such as data storage periods.

Data security

Your data is stored by our contract data host in Switzerland. Both SRC Headquarters and the data host use technical and organizational security measures to protect your information from any accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by an unauthorized person. Our security measures are constantly updated to take account of current technological developments.

We may amend or adapt this data protection policy at any time without notice; the text published on our website will apply.
